The Firehouse Chili event held December 2 at Paducah Fire Station No. 1 raised $2852 for the United Way of Western Kentucky. The community was invited to enjoy a chili meal at the fire station. Paducah firefighters cooked the chili and helped serve; department heads provided funds to purchase supplies; and several businesses showed their community spirit by donating food, supplies, or funds.
