Murray State Baseball will play against Kentucky State on March 10 at McCracken County High School in Paducah, according to a March 9 announcement. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. and comes as the Racers look to end a four-game losing streak.
The matchup is significant as Murray State aims to recover from a recent sweep by Central Florida, where the team lost all three games. In the final game of that series, UCF scored six runs in the ninth inning, resulting in a walk-off win and completing the sweep over Murray State.
Redshirt freshman Anthony Perritano had a standout performance last weekend, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBIs, along with a walk and a stolen base.
This will be the sixth meeting between Murray State and Kentucky State. The Racers have won all previous matchups, including their last encounter when they set a program record by scoring 38 runs. On average, Murray State has scored 20 runs per game against Kentucky State and has never scored fewer than ten runs in these meetings.
Kentucky State enters Tuesday’s contest with a record of two wins and sixteen losses but has won its last two games. Senior Ryan Campbell leads the Thorobreds both offensively—with five home runs and a .436 batting average—and has also appeared as a pitcher in four games this season.
The game will not be streamed online. Fans can follow live statistics on GoRacers.com or updates via @RacersBaseball on Instagram and X.
