Murray State women’s golf tied for fifth place at the SoCal Spring Invite in Camarillo, California, according to a March 10 announcement. Three Racers finished among the top 30 competitors at the event.

The team’s performance is notable as it marks one of their strongest finishes this year. Sophomore Elin Tynan led Murray State, shooting a two under par 69 in the final round and finishing eight over for the tournament, which placed her in 16th overall. This score was Tynan’s best of her collegiate career.

Patti Patterson secured a 23rd place finish while Katherine Weir ended in 29th. The Racers posted team scores of 307, 293, and 296 across three rounds for a total of 896.
