Racers Announce 2023 Marquee Games
As the Murray State football team enters a new era for the 2023 season, the two biggest dates on the calendar, Family Weekend and Homecoming, have been set. The annual Family Weekend game will take place Sept. 30 against Indiana State, while Homecoming is set for Oct. 14 against Southern Illinois.
The 2023 season will mark the 99th season of football at Murray State and the first in its new conference, the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Both matchups will be conference games for Murray State, with the Indiana State game also serving as the Racers’ first contest in the MVFC.
The 2023 season will officially begin on Sept. 2 when the Racers host Presbyterian at historic Roy Stewart Stadium for the 1,000th game in program history.
