Racers Celebrate Burns & Thomas On Senior Day

With the 2022-23 regular season coming to an end, we are struck by the feeling that the Murray State Racers’ (15-14, 10-9 MVC) first run through the Missouri Valley Conference certainly has been fun and it has gone by quickly. Saturday’s regular season finale for the Racers against the Valparaiso Beacons (11-20, 5-14 MVC) is also Senior Day at the CFSB Center when players DJ Burns and Rod Thomas are honored with their families on the court prior to the 3 p.m. tip. It has been nearly three months since these two teams met. It was Dec. 4 when the Racers defeated the Beacons in Valparaiso 77-70 in overtime.

State Farm Arch Madness Field Gets Set Sunday

Six games will decide the field for the MVC Tournament  that is played next week in St. Louis. All 12 teams are in the event and as the final game day comes, Belmont, Bradley, Drake, Indiana State, and Southern Illinois are fighting for the coveted top-4 seeds. The Racers can still get the sixth-seed, but could also be the seventh or eighth seed.
