City Takes Steps To Identifying Materials Used For Home Water Service Lines

Protecting public health is important to Calvert City Utilities. Lead is toxic to humans, especially when it contaminates drinking water. Get the Lead Out is a state-wide campaign, and by following a few steps, you can help eliminate possible contamination in your drinking water.

While lead has been virtually eliminated from public utility water systems, it can still be found in older home plumbing. Homes constructed before 1988, and particularly those built before 1950, may have lead or galvanized lines which can increase the possibility of lead contamination in the drinking water.

If you are a user of Calvert City water, please help us by completing a brief survey to assist us in identifying any lead or galvanized lines on your property.

HELP IN 3 EASY STEPS

  1. Find out the material of your private service line.
  2. Scan the QR Code or click HERE to access and complete the survey.
