U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell expressed his support for the confirmation of Howard Lutnick as the new U.S. Secretary of Commerce. McConnell emphasized the need for economic policies that benefit working families and stimulate growth.

"The American people handed the Trump Administration a crystal-clear mandate to hit the brakes on President Biden’s reckless spending and runaway inflation," said McConnell. He stressed the importance of implementing "commonsense, pro-growth policies that drive investment and get Americans back to work."

McConnell voiced confidence in Lutnick's capabilities, citing his extensive experience in the private sector. "I’m optimistic that Secretary Lutnick, with his decades of experience in the private sector, will be a valuable partner as Republicans work to reverse the last four years of economic heartache," he stated.

The statement reflects a focus on addressing economic challenges through collaboration with Lutnick in his new role as Commerce Secretary.
