U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell has commented on the confirmation of retired Lt. Gen. Dan Caine as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. McConnell emphasized the importance of this role at a time when "America’s adversaries are watching the every move of the U.S. Armed Forces and their leaders."
McConnell expressed his approval, stating, "I am glad that General Dan Caine is now on the job as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff." He highlighted the challenges ahead, noting that "growing, linked threats to U.S. national security will place immediate demands on Chairman Caine."
