Livingston Hospital is proud to announce its Employee of the Month for February 2020, Samantha Samuels. Samantha has been employed with LHHS for 10 ½ years and currently an RN in our Emergency Department.

Sam is an excellent nurse. She has been a dedicated employee for 10 years. Sam has compassion for all patients, she is respectful to co-workers and is always willing to help when needed. She is always dressed neatly and helps with outside events and represents our hospital well. Sam is dependable, works hard, is a team player, is respected by the providers and is always willing to help others. She is an excellent teacher. She has been a lead player in Relay for Life for the past several years and works hard to organize and participate.
Sam embodies the core values of LHHS. She always has a positive and upbeat attitude. She cares for her patients as well as the welfare of her coworkers. Sam is always willing to step into fill the gap, go above and beyond when needed. Sam is respectful of others easy to talk to, quick to answer questions without belittling others. She is hard working, regardless of the task. Sam is organized and proactive in the care of her patients.
Sam is always willing to lend a helping hand. Her kindness and caring attitude is evident. She responds readily and with a smile, never grumbling or complaining. Sam is dependable and shows great responsibility personally and professionally. You can always rely on Sam during the best and worst times. She is respectful and helpful to families. Kind to patients and helpful to her peers. She speaks in a professional manner. She strives for excellence in her willingness and dedication to the Relay for Life program. She spends her personal time and effort to see Relay for Life succeed. Sam is always dressed professionally and in accordance with LHHS Dress Code.
Samantha strives for excellence with everything she does. She is always mindful of other coworkers and kind. Treats everyone with dignity and respect. She is active is Relay for Life. She spends numerous hours of personal time working to ensure these events run smoothly, striving to make each event successful. Samantha has the quality of being complete and undivided. Her adherence to moral and ethical principles with soundness of moral character and honesty is above reproach.
Sam is very dedicated to her patients and Livingston Hospital. She recently sat with a patient who was passing away with no family available and she didn’t want the patient to be alone at the end of her life. Sam always has a great attitude and is willing to help out whenever and wherever she is needed. She picks up an extra shift every week and always volunteers for whatever the ER needs. Sam is always compassionate yet honest with each patient that comes in the ER. She takes the time to listen to each patient and meet their specific needs and wants while in the ER. Sam is always on time for her shift and willing to go the extra mile. She will go wherever asked and help wherever needed while on shift.
Sam treats everyone she meets with kindness and respect including patients and fellow employees. Sam demonstrates excellence with her positive attitude, great nursing skill, and willingness. She helps keep morale up be decorating and providing gifts and goodies for other staff including new employees. Sam is always dressed professionally and appropriately. Sam is a very dedicated and rule abiding employee. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her as an employee and a nurse.
Sam is always taking part in services involved with the hospital. She is very artistic and puts her special touch on everything she is involved with. She is a great role model for new nurses and very welcoming to new staff. She strives for excellence in the ER and her nursing and dedicated to the hospital and to the ER. She got me a Christmas present after only working with me a few times and welcomed me to the ER with open arms. She is always a shoulder to lean on and willing to teach and help at any point. Sam is a great RN and coworker and very deserving of recognition.
The Employee Recognition Committee at Livingston Hospital developed and rolled out a new Employee of the Month starting June 2018. The basis for the Employee of the Month is Livingston Hospital’s Core Values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence (iCARE).
