Ice Road Conditions Cause Solid Waste Collection to Halt
Due to the hazardous and icy road conditions, the Paducah Public Works Department is suspending solid waste collection. Please leave your garbage rollout at its designated collection point. Once the roadways improve, crews will work to collect all of this week’s routes including the routes that are inaccessible today and those that may be inaccessible tomorrow.
At this time, Street Division crews are working to clear the streets and add salt.
Stuart Nelson Park and Noble Park are closed due to the icy road conditions. Plus, the Paducah Recreation Center is closed.
Another light round of winter weather is expected later this afternoon. For those who must travel, please review these safety tips.

• Stay up-to-date on the weather forecast and road conditions.
• Pack an emergency supply kit that includes warm clothing, blankets, a flashlight, bottled water, food, jumper cables, and sand.
