U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) expressed his concerns about the resolution calling for the withdrawal of American military forces from Syria in a speech on the Senate floor. On the 82nd anniversary of Pearl Harbor, McConnell urged his fellow senators to remember the cost of being caught unprepared. He concluded by stating, "A vote in favor of this resolution is a vote for retreat in the face of terror."
