WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) expressed his satisfaction with the Senate confirming Todd Inman, a native of Calvert City, Kentucky, to the National Transportation Safety Board. McConnell stated, "I congratulate Todd Inman on his confirmation to the National Transportation Safety Board. Our transportation system is rapidly changing, and the safety and security of Americans must continue to come first. Todd brings a deep understanding of transportation safety and years of public service to the Board, previously serving at the Department of Transportation and as Florida’s Secretary of Management Services."

Inman, originally from Calvert City, had a successful career spanning two decades leading an insurance agency in Owensboro, Kentucky, before transitioning to public service. He started his public service journey at the Department of Transportation in Washington, serving as the Director of Operations and later as Chief of Staff to the Secretary. Following his tenure at the DOT, Inman received bipartisan support in the Florida State Senate and was confirmed to serve as the Secretary of Management Services.

McConnell expressed his confidence in Inman's abilities, stating, "I’m pleased to see Todd lend his talent and experience to improving public safety, and I know he will make Kentucky proud."

Inman's diverse background in both the private and public sectors positions him well to contribute to the National Transportation Safety Board and to uphold the priority of public safety in the evolving transportation landscape.
